An API (Application Programming Interface) is like a messenger that allows two different programs or systems to talk to each other and share information.
The Spreetail API helps seller partners programmatically access their data on orders, shipments, and much more. Applications using the API can increase selling efficiency, reduce labor requirements, and improve response time to customers, helping seller partners grow their businesses.
At a high level, there are four pieces of communication that Spreetail will be supporting to maintain listings and fulfill orders for external partners:
- Inventory API: Request inventory quantities and locations to update listings with availability and delivery speed information.
- Orders API: Send orders.
- Tracking API: Request real-time fulfillment status, including tracking information.
- Returns API: Returns information about products that were returned by the customer.
- Authentication API: Authorize API calls and generate or revoke credentials.
